2nd Ifield Scouts, Explorers, Network and SAS have just returned from the annual water camp held at Barcombe. The weekend involved kayaking, canoeing, swimming and generally getting wet. It enabled the young people to further improve their paddling skills in order to achieve their BCU awards going forward. Fun was had by all and the weather was excellent (compared to the forecast anyway!). The leaders are now preparing for their third weekend away next weekend with the upcoming group camp at Blacklands Farm which is normally attended by over 100 members and their families. Photos from the weekend can be seen below.
2nd Ifield has just returned from the Stanford 50th birthday celebration camp and activity day. All sections from within the group attended along with over 200 campers and 350 day visitors from the whole of Crawley District. They were able to take part in numerous activities including climbing, crate stacking, rifle shooting, archery, traversing, laser tag, bungee run, gladiators and a whole lot more! The main activity day then finished with a campfire for over 300 people and professional fireworks display. Fun was had by all that attended and the leaders are now recovering in preparation for water camp and group camp which are over the next two weekends. Some photos of the event are available below although we will upload more over the next few weeks!

Schoolchildren and 2nd Ifield (St Margaret’s) Scouts walked alongside the float’s procession while a marching band played.
