Christmas Carol Service

On Wednesday 12 December 2018 the whole group joined together for our annual Carol Service.

The evening saw St Margaret’s Church full with members and their families for a service, led by Fr Simon Newham. The service including a number of readings which told us of the birth of Jesus, along with all the traditional carols that we all knew and sang well. The readings were read by a selection of Scouts and Explorer Scouts accompanied with a prayer written and read by a Beaver Scout or Cub Scout. The final reading, being about the Incarnation was read by an Adult member of the Group.

At the end of the service, two Chief Scout Silver awards were presented, along with Getting Started Leader training award and a 10 year long service award was presented to Nicole.

When the service was finished everyone enjoyed some mince pies and mulled fruit juice.
